Prior to 1911, Southwest Texas State Normal School was governed by a local board of trustees who were appointed by the State Board of Education.  The local trustees model of governance ended in 1911 when the 32nd Legislature put the four normal schools under the general control and management of the State Normal School Board of Regents (now The Texas State University System).

The Archives holds records produced by the Texas State University System, including meeting agendas (also known as board books), reports, meeting minutes, and published rules and regulations. These records are in the process of being digitized; content will be added here once the digital files are available.

Materials in our collections created by the Board of Regents are available online in Digital Collections.
