George Sullivan

Biography

George Sullivan was born in 1908 in Blanket, Texas. He attended Daniel Baker College in Brownwood, Texas, where he was a member of the track team. Sullivan spent his life as a Presbyterian pastor, serving congregations in Hamilton and San Marcos. He founded a Presbyterian church in Austin in 1957.

Sullivan talks about his experiences as a Presbyterian pastor in San Marcos. He also reflects on his relationships with various faculty members such as Oscar Strahan, Leland Derrick, and Dr. Martin Juel. He talks about his religious faith and his book, The Son of Thunder, Tamed. He also shares some of the poetry that he's written.
